Then and… then.
These two photos were taken from almost exactly the same spot in front of my old house. The first was taken a hundred years ago in 1912 and the second one I took myself in 2006. Note the stone pillar on the left. My house, if it were in view, would be immediately to the right in both photos, since it was built in 1895 (and possibly earlier).
